If you have ever tried to repair a truck tire chain, then you are familiar with the physical demands of this task. The conventional method of truck tire chain repair is not only physically demanding, but time consuming as well. A typical repair can be accomplished in under two minutes per cross-link depending on the experience, strength and efficiency of your employee.

The Chain Mender utilizes the latest technology to simplify and expedite the process of tire chain repair. The Chain Mender allows the technician to work at a comfortable table height and make consistent and smooth repairs of the tire chain. Convenient foot pedals allow the Operator the use of both hands to remove the broken cross-links and properly place and crimp the new cross-links. The end result is a quick and consistent tire chain repair.

Made of heavy steel tubing, The Chain Mender features a ten gauge 4 X 8 foot steel, work tabletop and provides a comfortable work height of 40 inches from the ground. The right and left foot pedals operate the forward and reverse motion of the spreader and crimper. A two-way safety valve is designed to ensure the safe operation of the machine by allowing only the crimper or the spreader to operate at one time. The Chain Mender easily folds into a compact 4 X 3 for quick storage.
